Job description

Broadcast is seeking an outstanding journalist to take an influential role at one of the UK’s premier B2B titles.The news editor has responsibility for driving online news and news analysis content for the broadcastnow.co.uk website.

They will break great exclusive stories and manage and develop a team of three reporters to do the same. They will be an expert contact-builder and have a thorough understanding of news, which they are keen to pass on.

The news editor will be comfortable working under pressure. Deadlines come fast and regularly and Broadcast sends at least two email newsletters a day.

The right candidate requires strong editing skills as our stories needs to be precise and accurate. They will be comfortable interrogating copy and exercising their editorial judgement.

The job helps shape Broadcast’s reputation and involves representing the title at major industry events, chairing panels and cultivating a personal profile.
