Full Stack Python Developer

Key purpose
• The product development team are undertaking the migration of legacy platforms and the launch of new products with Python at the core. The developer will work across these products and join a team of four within MBI’s group product development team.
• The developer will play a key part in the maintenance and growth of Broadcast Intelligence, a new data service for people working in the TV production sector.
Main role focus:
• Day-to-day support and development of MBI’s websites, in particular Broadcast Intelligence.
• Working the product team and brand managers to define requirements for larger projects and builds.
• Code review as part of an internal QA process.
• Contributing to the maintenance of the hosting infrastructure.
• Deployment of code and ensuring code repositories are up-to-date.
Required experience and skills:
• At least 2 years’ experience in professional web development.
• Expert in Python.
• Skilled at responsive front-end development using Bootstrap 3+.
• Skilled in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of domain management, including SSL and hosting.
• Git, Django (or another Python framework) and REST Framework.
• Less or Sass
• Knowledge of databases, eg Postgres, MySQL and ESQL server.
Preferred skills but essential
• Knowledge of Vue.js and WebPack.
• Azure cloud hosting.
