Broadcast to include a high value, global intelligence and data platform.

 

Key Purpose

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a bright and confident individual to join MBI as a Content Researcher to work on ALF (https://www.alfinsight.com), a premium online service that provides sales and marketing professionals in media companies, agencies and other marketing services businesses with a unique insight into the key decision makers at the UK’s top advertisers, along with their associated advertising agencies. ALF has been recognised as the best source of new business intelligence within the industry for over 30 years. Our clients include high profile organisations such as ebay, Channel 4, Manchester United F.C., British Heart Foundation,Google and Facebook

The successful candidate will help maintain our database of the top 6000 advertisers and 961 agencies in the UK, using both telephone and web research to confirm/source information. They will be expected to process all content to the highest quality standards and to agreed deadlines.

 

Responsibilities will include:

• To update the data we hold on some of the biggest advertising agencies in the UK and make the required changes to the database.

• To establish and maintain good relationships with contacts for updates.

• To quality check company profiles to ensure high quality standards are being met before publication.

• To resolve clients’ data queries.

• To summarise relevant news articles for publication.

• To help maintain our Twitter account by tweeting regularly.

• To be responsible for some of our data integrity processes.

• To participate in ad-hoc data projects as and when required.

 

Inquisitiveness, a confident telephone manner and a sharp eye for detail are key requirements for this role, as is a strong desire to get things right in a hardworking environment driven by deadlines and competing priorities.

The ideal candidate will be articulate, resourceful and versatile; and will be expected to demonstrate high levels of pro-activeness and accountability together with the ability and confidence to communicate with industry contacts across the hierarchy spectrum.

A good grasp of Excel, databases and an active interest in the advertising industry will be a plus.
